Application configuration

Administrators can configure the application settings for all users and apply bespoke branding such as logo, banner, and company colors to the web user interface.

  1. Click the Admin icon in the toolbar.

    The admin options display.

  2. Click Configuration and then App.
  3. Configure the settings as required:

  4. Aspect

    • Active Theme – Sets the theme applied to the interface.
    • Background Image – Sets the image displayed in the menu bar of the Summary screen based on the image URL. This must be in PNG or JPEG format.
    • Logo – Sets the logo displayed in the menu bar of the Summary screen based on the image URL. This must be in PNG or JPG format.

      The background image and logo can be hidden if required. These settings only apply to the simplified view of the front-office user interface.

    • Summary Image – Sets the icon displayed in the top left corner of the menu bar. The default is the Home icon.

    Polling

    • Single polling – Enables browsers to poll for all UI changes at once. If single polling is enabled, there will be one single poll for all UI elements at the same time (products, messages, configuration and actions) rather than individual polling for each.The default single polling rate (the frequency with which browser polls for changes) is 5 seconds.

    Front Office – These settings only apply to the enhanced view of the front-office user interface.

    • Tile Size – Sets the size of tiles in the front-office user interface.
    • Number Display Type – Sets the format of values displayed on the screen (total or percentage).
    • Summary background image – Sets the image displayed in the background on the Summary screen or in the center of the screen in enhanced view.

    Direct URL – Controls the look and feel of forms and allows administrators to remove Service Assist banners and match the active theme to the system or website that is accessing Service Assist via a Direct URL, allowing to embed Service Assist into third-party tools, such as Salesforce or ServiceNow.

    • Active Theme – Sets the theme used when accessing the web admin interface via a direct URL (often matching an enclosing application or website).
    • Hide Top Navigation Bar –If enabled, this hides the menu bar.
    • Hide Footer Bar – If enabled, this hides the footer bar.
    • Max. Card Width – Sets the maximum width of the screen used in forms accessed via Direct URL.
    • Field Width – Sets the default field width in forms accessed via Direct URL.

    Others

    • Delete robot items periodicallyEnabled by default. When enabled, completed items in the queue are deleted to maintain performance, which is recommended.
    • Actions search by – Sets the default order in which actions are shown, either by Position, Created At, or Updated At.
    • No profile image upload– If enabled, this prevents users from uploading profile photos.

    • Max. tiles – Sets the maximum number of tiles displayed on the Summary page in simplified view, or in the tiles bar in enhanced view.
    • Enable Tile Delete Option – Enabled by default. When enabled, all users are allowed to remove tiles from the front-office user interface.
    • Max. Card Width – Sets the maximum width of the screen. Full screen will display if this is not set.
    • Image Size – Sets the size of images shown in forms.
    • Summary Tile Size – Sets the size of process tiles on the Summary page. This setting only applies to the simplified view.
    • Field Width – Sets the default size of columns in forms, small is recommended.
    • Date format – Sets the date format for the application.
    • Language – Sets the language of the application.

  5. Click Save.
