Enhancements and fixes
Description of change |
---|
The GenerateDeployFiles program has been updated with more deployment options and validations to provide a smoother installation and upgrade process:
|
The API docker is now run as the TrustPortal user instead of the root user. |
Third party packages have been updated in the API docker to remove any known vulnerabilities. |
Support has been added for MySQL NDB Cluster 8.0. The GenerateDeployFiles script now defaults to MySQL 8 when installing version 1.6.24 or later. |
The Helm Charts for the additional Kubernetes installer have been updated. |
Description of change |
---|
The title of the login page can be configured via translation files located in /var/local/<INSTANCE_NAME>api.<DOMAIN>/i18n/ by default. |
A new Currency form field component has been added. Additionally, currency fields display as expected without having to add any custom CSS classes. |
Compound tables display as expected when they are located inside tabs and the width is larger than the table container. |
Two new input parameters, AutoComplete and MultiValue Slider, and one new help parameter, LineBreak, have been introduced.
|
CSS styles can now be exported to, and imported from, different environments, and custom CSS classes can be added via the Admin > Theme tab. The following new CSS classes have been added to the default theme to reduce space used by fields, especially in the compound tables:
|
To improve the user experience the following new options have been added:
|
Blue Prism multi-byte characters such as emojis, musical characters, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters are now supported. They can be placed either inside the Value or the Label input parameter in the VBOs. |
Support for Google material icons has been added for CSS class configuration. For more information, please contact [email protected]. |
Tile images are no longer resized if message and number input parameters have been set in the VBOs. Previously, image sizes were inconsistent across the screen. |
Tiles marked as favorites now retain this setting after a user logs out. |
Body and background font colors can now be set when creating a new theme in the administrator user interface. |
Description of change |
---|
The onboarding process for the first user has been improved. Setting up the [email protected] account is no longer required; instead, a URL is provided to set up the initial root user in the format <https://<web_uri>/setup>. The first user onboarded on the server will be the first administrator who will be able to grant admin rights to other users via the Admin > Users tab. |
When adding users via the Admin > Users tab, the sign-up token for a user now automatically displays under Users > Info once the new user details have been saved. Once the user has received the token and URL in the format https://<web_uri>/signup?token=<signup_token> from the admin, they can access the TrustPortal server and sign up. |
The user onboarding process via SAML2 now allows custom parameters such as employee ID, virtual role, or any other employee details to be entered. |
The Administrator role is no longer removed when resetting user information for the last outstanding admin in the system. Previously, it was possible to reset the last admin user and accidentally remove all admins from the system. The last outstanding admin will no longer have access to the previous encrypted data if they change their password. |
The Root, Manager, and Underwriter roles have been removed. |
The Administrator role can now be assigned to more than one user. |
A custom language and date format can now be specified when creating users via the Blue Prism Users VBO. Previously, only users could change these settings on their user profile, and administrators could set the language and date format for a whole configuration only, as opposed to individual users. |
Support has been added for the new TrustPortal User Management (TPUM3) module forms. |

JWT tokens are used for session management instead of cookies to prevent issues when embedding TrustPortal in other applications via Direct URL links. |

The following improvements have been made to the API service polling:
|
The connectivity timeout for the Redis service is now managed using the session.cookie.maxAge parameter, instead of the default Single Polling TTL timeout of 10 minutes used in previous releases. An issue that caused actions to disappear after polling has also been fixed by removing the Single Polling TTL setting from the admin user interface (Admin > Configuration > App). |
The API now correctly displays a 404 error message if a user does not exist. Previously, it displayed a 204 error message. |

Queue performance has been optimized by using Redis to check when there has been an update to the database, which has reduced the number of database queries made for one single transaction. |
The storage and performance of user data and key shares has been improved. |
Enabling the Select All check box on a filtered simple table now works as expected. Previously, this action did not result in all table rows being selected. |
The Reset Password action in the Users VBO now returns a correct and consistent action result as the others actions in the VBOs. |
Empty queue items no longer need to be created in FrontOffice example processes, as endpoints no longer require a queue item. |
