Tags

Tagging is very convenient mechanism for you to assign specific labels (tags) to multiple objects and then quickly retrieve them when needed. The processes replaces the bookshelf and bookmark.

Tagging objects

Tag is simply some text string which could be attached to a timeline. Many tags could be attached to the same timeline. The same tag could be attached to multiple timelines.

The number of different tags is not limited.

Searching by tags

Once the tags are assigned to timelines, searching is not much different from the search by any other attribute. The search result categories are grouped together based on tags.

Example
When you tag some timelines with the tag "surgical patients", other timelines with "outpatient". The user performs the search for "pati" (and ignores the suggestions in the search field). The outcome of the search may look like this:

Search results for "pati"

  • By Type
    • 0 timelines
  • By Tag:
    • "surgical patients"

      12,554 timelines

    • "outpatient"

      87,012 timelines

In order to perform more complex queries, the query could contain special words AND, OR, NOT and parenthesis (). For example: "surgical patients" AND "inflammation" and NOT "outpatient". For more details, see Literal search.
