Connect to ServiceNow as a data source

Connect Process Intelligence to a ServiceNow instance

1. Log in to your ServiceNow account,
2. Type oauth in the search box to easily find the Application Registry.
3. Navigate to Application Registry.
4. Click New to create a new application.
5. Choose Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients from the list.
6. Enter a name – Type any name (eg. TimelinePI).
7. Click the lock button near the Redirect URL to specify the Redirect URL.
8. Enter the URL: https://online.timelinepi.com/oauth.html?service-now
9. Copy Client ID field for use on Process Intelligence.
10. Save the changes by clicking Submit.

Process Intelligence login details

Ensure that your browser allows pop-ups from https://Online.TimelinePI.com

• Instance Name – Comes from the SN instance name which can be found in the SN URL: https://instancename.service-now.com/

• Client ID – Comes from the newly created Application registry screen.

  

• User Name/Password – A valid admin login for the ServiceNow instance.
