Secure development policy

As part of our secure development policy, Blue Prism products are evaluated against the following security standards:

  • OWASP Top 10 –The security vulnerabilities that pose the most risk to applications development. For more information, see the OWASP website.
  • SANS CWE Top 25 – The most common software security vulnerabilities found throughout the software development industry. For more information, see the SANS website.
  • Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 140-2 – U.S. government standard that defines minimum security requirements for cryptographic modules in information technology products.
  • Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Enhancements

The following new features and enhancements are introduced in this version of Process Intelligence:

SS&C | Blue Prism® Process Intelligence and SS&C | Blue Prism® Capture integration

  • SS&C | Blue Prism® Process Intelligence can be integrated with SS&C | Blue Prism® Capture by exporting processes from Process Intelligence as JSON files into Capture for further refinement and generation of digital PDDs, which can then be used to build digital worker skeletons in Blue Prism Studio.
  • Capture 2.1 or later is required for the JSON integration.
  • Process Intelligence 1.0 to Capture 2.1 integration only supports English language text.

Process Intelligence component

  • Alerts Webhooks can contain attributes from timelines.
  • Customer notifications:
    • Provide status information with admin app.
    • More detailed status information is displayed on the status page.
  • X-axis custom sorting on charts, only for histogram mode.
  • Multiple uploads into the same ETL table.
  • Recalculate sets button on set list modal allows to recalculate all the sets at the same time.
  • Improved business duration calculations for projects without time zones.
  • Removed support for TLS1.2 and earlier.

Recorder component

  • Improved the meaningfulness of events the Recorder produces.

    • Events in the new Recorder version are formulated as interactions with UI elements. Sequence of "low level" events, which represent for example interactions with a combo box, in the new approach will be just one event.
    • The previous Recorder did not record most interceptions with buttons and menus if they were produced by the keyboard. The new Recorder version records such events. The events no longer depend on how they were produced: by keyboard or by mouse.
  • Added Recorder extension for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers.
    • Events produced by browser extensions are more elaborate and meaningful because extensions have access to DOM (Document Object Model).
    • All three extensions (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge) share the same code.
  • LightLogViewer standalone installation support for a tool to allow viewing of recorder logs without the need to install the Recording Service.

Supports the ability to view what is recorded without installing the Recording Service.

Fixes and minor improvements

The following fixes and minor improvements have been made in this release:

  • Changed logic for recording sessions.

If a session recording is stopped and then resumed without changing the template, then the log will be written to the same session (previously, it used to be in a new session).

  • Custom minimum value for interval in alerts.

Administrators can change the minimum time interval for alerts. This feature depends on the user license.
