High availability configuration

High availability ensures that the systems are always available through the use of multiple servers. Configuring multiple servers provides built-in resilience. If one server fails, availability will not be lost.

Blue Prism supplies a scripted solution for replicating your SS&C | Blue Prism® Hub and your SS&C | Blue Prism® Interact web server to additional web server hosts.

This guide provides guidance on how to prepare web server hosts for high availability configuration, using scripts provided by Blue Prism. This information is provided as a high-level guidance only. It is recommended that you follow industry standard best practice and seek recommendations from an experienced professional.

If using a high availability environment with multiple nodes, Hub and Interact can currently support up to 250 requests made to the server at any one time. For example, it can support 250 users all clicking Submit on a form within the space of a second. There can still be many other users on the system at the same time that can be viewing or entering information without making a request to the server (such as typing in a text field). Blue Prism aims to increase this limit in future releases.

You should check with your IT organization before commencing any high availability deployment to ensure that the network infrastructure can support your intended deployment.

To watch the high availability installation and configuration process, see our Blue Prism Hub and Interact high availability installation video.

The use of Active Directory authentication with the high availability configuration is not supported.
