Installation
The information below describes each required component with links to downloads, documentation, and videos. It is recommended that the components are installed in the order shown below.
The components must be installed in a dedicated environment which will be accessed from user’s computers via the Blue Prism Desktop client application.
The videos are only available in English.
The videos can be used to provide guidance for other versions of the software, but there may be differences in the content and screens. For the installation instructions for the version you require, refer to the documentation.

A. Install Blue Prism Enterprise


This is used to administer Desktop and must be installed in an environment dedicated to Desktop, separate from your usual Blue Prism Enterprise installation.
B. Install Blue Prism API

Provides an interface for Desktop to connect with the Blue Prism database and provides predefined capabilities so Blue Prism can interact programmatically using a RESTful API.
A. Install WebView2

Microsoft Edge WebView2 is a prerequisite for using Authentication Server with Blue Prism. It must be installed locally on any machine that runs the Blue Prism interactive client.
B. Install Erlang OTP

Erlang is a prerequisite for the installation of Authentication Server.
C. Install RabbitMQ

RabbitMQ is a prerequisite for the installation of Authentication Server.
D. Install IIS

IIS is a prerequisite for the installation of Authentication Server and must be installed on the web server.
E. Install .NET

.NET is a prerequisite for the installation of Authentication Server and must be installed on the web server. Please check the documentation for the version of .NET that is required.
F. Install Blue Prism Hub

Authentication Server is a component of Blue Prism Hub.
G. Configure Authentication Server

Configure Authentication Server to interface with Blue Prism.
A. Blue Prism Digital Worker API

Provides an interface between Blue Prism Desktop and the Blue Prism database, allowing Blue Prism Desktop to obtain all the information it needs to run automated processes.
B. Blue Prism Desktop Client

Used to run Blue Prism processes in real time and must be installed locally on each Desktop users computer.
