HTML attributes
The following is a list of the attributes returned by the Windows spy tool in HTML mode. For a list of attributes returned by other modes, see:
Application Attributes
A text representation of the path of the element in the Document Object Model (DOM). For example the path HTML/BODY(1)/TABLE(4) refers to the fourth table element declared under the first body element, declared under the html element in the DOM.
The name of the tag representing element, as declared in the html document source. For example the tag name of a hyperlink is "a": a hyperlink is made from an anchor tag which is represented by the letter a in html.
The class name of the tag representing the element, as used in cascading style sheets (CSS). For example in the html tag <div class="navigation">, the class name is "navigation".
The ID of the html tag representing the element, as specified in the html source. For example the tag <a id="Section3> has an id of "Section3".
The title of the html tag representing the element.
The target URL of a hyperlink, for example.
Relevant only for elements within input forms. This attribute is the type of data to be input.
Relevant only for elements within input forms. This attribute is the unique identifier of the input element in question.
The value displayed in the element, if any. Relevant only for elements such as edit fields, checkboxes or labels.
Indicates whether the element is enabled. An element which is not enabled is not capable of receiving keyboard or mouse input.
Indicates whether the element is checked. Relevant only for elements which represent a true/false, yes/no or on/off value, such as a checkbox in an input form.
