Active accessibility attributes
The following is a list of the attributes returned by the Windows spy tool in Active Accessibility mode. For a list of attributes returned by other modes, see:
Application attributes
Relevant only for certain types of element, such as checkboxes, toggle buttons, radio-groups etc which indicate a True/False or On/Off status. This indicates whether an option is selected. See also the Mixed attribute.
Relevant only for certain types of element, such as comboboxes, treeview nodes, etc which have child elements. This indicates whether an option is collapsed, meaning that its children are hidden.
Relevant only for certain types of element, such as comboboxes, treeview nodes, etc which have child elements. This attribute is the inverse of the Collapsed attribute.
Indicates whether an element is focusable; an element which is focused receives any keyboard input. See also the Focused attribute.
Indicates whether an element is focused, which means that it receives any keyboard input. This is a transient state that will change over time according to the user's behaviour. See also the Focusable attribute.
Indicates whether the element is visible on the screen. Any element which is located off the screen will not be visible.
True when the type of element is a hyperlink.
Relevant only for certain types of element, such as checkboxes, toggle buttons, radio-groups etc which indicate a True/False or On/Off status. The state is Mixed if the toggle state is indeterminate. For example a checkbox may begin in a state which is neither set (True) nor unset (False), indicating that the user has not yet selected an option. In this case the state is said to be indeterminate. See also the Checked attribute.
Indicates whether the element can be moved.
Indicates whether more than one item in the element can be selected concurrently. Relevant only for elements such as listviews which allow items to be selected.
Indicates whether the data contained in the element is masked from view, such as in a password field.
Indicates whether the data in the element can be changed.
Indicates whether the element can be selected. See also the Selected attribute.
Indicates whether the element is selected. See also the Selectable attribute.
Indicates whether the element can be resized.
Indicates whether the element is available for interaction. Corresponds to the enabled attribute of Win32 applications.
