Start stage

The start stage properties dialog allows you to assign startup parameters to a start stage.

If the start stage is on a sub-page within the process, then the startup parameters must be passed whenever that page is called within the process. This is done via the page reference stage.

If the start stage is on the Main Page, then the startup parameters are required each time the process is started either from Control Room or via another process. The collection datatype cannot be used as a startup parameter if the process is to be started from Control Room. To learn more about setting startup parameters in Control Room see Startup Parameters.

  1. Enter a name – The name that you enter identifies the start stage, it will be displayed on the process diagram.
  2. Choose inputs – Input Parameters to the process are specified here. The Add and Remove buttons allow you to add a new input parameter or remove the currently selected parameter. You must choose a datatype for your startup parameter and select a data item to store the parameter. This is done by dragging a data item from the data explorer and dropping it into the value column.
